Anxiety Therapy for Women on Philadelphia’s Main Line

When Anxiety Makes Everything Feel Harder

You may look like you have everything under control. You're managing work, relationships, family responsibilities, and all the things that need your attention.

But inside, your mind rarely slows down.

You replay conversations, anticipate problems, second-guess decisions, or find yourself worrying about things you can't control. Even when life is going well, it can be difficult to relax and enjoy it.

Anxiety doesn't always look like panic. Sometimes it looks like overthinking, irritability, exhaustion, perfectionism, or feeling responsible for everyone else's happiness.

And sometimes you've been living with it for so long that it just feels normal.

But you don't have to keep feeling this way.

Understanding Your Anxiety

Anxiety is more than a collection of symptoms. It often develops within the context of our experiences, relationships, expectations, and the ways we've learned to cope with stress.

In therapy, we'll explore what's contributing to your anxiety, recognize patterns that may be keeping it going, and develop practical ways to respond differently.

That might involve learning to quiet persistent worry, becoming more comfortable with uncertainty, setting healthier boundaries, or changing the way you respond to difficult people and situations.

My goal isn't simply to help you manage anxious feelings. It's to help you understand yourself better and feel more confident navigating your life.

What It’s Like to Work with Me

You don't have to convince me that what you're experiencing is difficult. And you don't have to worry about whether your problems are serious enough to deserve attention.

I want to understand what's happening in your life, how you're feeling about it, and what you'd like to be different.

Sometimes anxiety comes from the pressure you put on yourself. Sometimes it's connected to a relationship, a difficult situation, or years of putting everyone else's needs ahead of your own. Often, it's a combination of things.

We'll figure that out together.

I'm not someone who will simply listen week after week while you continue to struggle with the same problems. I'll share my observations, ask questions that help you see things differently, and offer practical ways to approach situations that have been causing you distress.

You can expect understanding without judgment, but you can also expect us to get somewhere.
